Roland Maria Stangier

 

Studied in Wuerzburg and Paris by Zsolt Gárdonyi and Daniel Roth from 1977-85.

The original organist distributed by the Berlin "Air corridor memorial fonds-stipendium" in Paris and Strasbourg by Daniel Roth and André Fleury.

1982-83 District Choirmaster and Organist in Schopfheim / Baden, 83-91 at the St. Mathews Church Berlin Steglitz and at the St. Peters cathedral in Hamburg chief-organist and conductor of the Bach Choir 1991-95.

Main organist at the reformed city church at Solothurn, Switzerland 1997-99.

Lecturer at the Bremen Arts academy and the metropolitan church music school Berlin 1983-91.

Initiator and leader of the international improvisation competition "Maurice Duruflé" Hamburg 1996.

Since 1994 professor at the "Folkwang University" Essen.

Since 2003 custodian of the new Kuhn-organ of the new Essen Philharmonic and
since 2009 one of the custodians of the new Eule-organ of the Philharmonie Mercatorhalle Duisburg.

Since 2010 principal organist of the Kreuzeskirche Essen.
